Forum spam and update
|
 Everyone probably noticed the annoying automated forum spam posts we've been getting lately. I kinda ignored them and manually deleted them till now (and Offkorn too apparently, thanks for that), but now I've finally decided to turn on email verification when registering. So.. that should keep them out.
The problem is I don't really even know whether the forum's email will actually be sent or anything, and I currently lack the will to check because things are well.. kinda dead anyway.
But! aha! Always a but. I expected things to get dead obviously. There hasn't been much life in this community for a while now and any communication that does happen usually happens over at PV, and I support that. When numbers dwindle this low you kinda have to stick to one central place for discussion.
But have I been working on the site lately? No I haven't. And I probably won't for another month or so. I just don't have the time. But don't worry, the site's not going anywhere. The hosting account is due for renewal at the start of 2008 and it'll be here for many years to come probably. Even if it is just to keep the old files available someplace.
P.S.: Oh yea, I have a nice job, a Yamaha Fazer 600 and great coworkers :D I normally keep personal stuff out of sites like these and especially news posts but.. whatever, just so you know there won't be any financial problems anymore for this site. |

We're back
|
 Vampire Heaven is back online for the time being. There's a few files missing which i'll fix when I have time (which I don't have alot of lately). It could be interesting to know that I'm working on getting a second version of this site finished, which I will probably port all the files to. The intention of the new site would not only be Redemption and Bloodlines, but also a project I'm working on in my free time.

D-Day is here

Well, in about 23 hours I'll be taking the site offline so this is my last news post. I don't really know what to say except I thought it was an interesting experience and I've learned alot from it. It was great to have you all here and I hope that if I do ever make another site like this that you'll come visit me there. I wish you all great fun and good luck with Bloodlines as well as any other possible Vampire related entertainment. It's been fun :)
Oh yea, before I forget: Live long and prosper, and worship the goddess that is Jolene Blalock :D

VampireHeaven going down on May 1, 2005

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but it's official: VampireHeaven will be going down on May 1, 2005 at 23:59AM. I've mainly reached this decision due to personal considerations. I'm really sorry it has to be this way because if I had the time I would surely keep it going. But all is not lost because Death from vpaine.com will no doubt be willing to host most of the files that are on here and I'll be giving him full access to take whatever he needs to keep the files available. I would say that one of the reasons I decided to quit is that the community is dying and that a single player game is not worth keeping up a site like this for, but obviously I can't say that. Just take a look around and you see a dedicated community that is eager to keep developing all sorts of wonderful artwork and programs for these outstanding games. It's truly been a great experience for me and I hope you will all find a new home where you can thrive just as greatly as you did here, any site admin should be so lucky as to have you as their visitors. I will probably make another news post when the final moment arrives but until then I bid you all a good night and wish you all the luck in the world.
